As of 2026, the new PTE exam fees have no extra charges for late booking, even if you register for a slot within 48 hours of the test date. Just a reminder, candidates are permitted to reschedule their appointment up to 6 times per booking.

  • All candidates can reschedule PTE test dates for free if there are more than 14 full calendar days left before your test.
  • Candidates can reschedule a single test up to 6 times only.
  • If the test is 14 days or less, candidates cannot reschedule the test, as the ‘Reschedule’ button will not be displayed on their myPTE dashboard. In such cases, candidates can rebook the test after cancelling the test. 

How to cancel the PTE test online?

Candidates can cancel their scheduled PTE test dates at least 14 full calendar days before their test, and you will receive a full refund. 

For cancellations between 13 and 8 full calendar days before your test, you will receive a 50% refund. And, for any cancellation made 7 days before the PTE test date, no refund is given to the students. 

PTE Rescheduling and Cancellation under special circumstances: If candidates are unable to attend the test center on the day of their test due to illness or family emergency, Pearson may, at its discretion, allow them to reschedule the test free of charge.
