Mary Philomina has spent 10 years helping students navigate their journey to Australia, UK, and Canada, including around two years working specifically in Canadian migration services. Her counselling style is built on honest advice rather than the easiest option, and she has worked with students carrying long academic gaps, low scores, complex financial situations, and previous visa refusals, finding practical solutions for each rather than turning cases away.
What sets her apart is the relationships she maintains long after a student has left. Former students still call her years later to share milestones: a first part-time job, a graduation, a PR invitation. In 2022, she visited Victoria University Melbourne, where former students she had placed took her across the city — to Deakin, La Trobe, and RMIT, and into the neighbourhoods where international students actually live and work. That ground-level view of what life looks like after arrival informs the practical detail she brings to every conversation. In 2025, she visited The University of Newcastle, where she spoke directly with international students about graduate employment outcomes and how regional study pathways supported their PR timelines. She has been recognised with the AECC India Top Performer Award in 2023 and multiple AECC Star Performer and Supernova Awards in 2022 and 2023.
Mary holds an MBA in HR and is PIER Certified. She has 10 years of experience in international education at AECC Global. She works in English and Malayalam, with basic Hindi.
