You can check the status of your student visa or visitor visa using just your passport number. However, some immigration systems also require extra details like your visa application reference number or date of birth.

How to Check Australia Visa Status Using Passport Number

To track your Australian visa status:

  1. Visit the VEVO (Visa Entitlement Verification Online) system
  2. Click on Check your visa details and conditions
  3. Select 'Passport and country of passport'
  4. Enter:
    • Your passport number
    • Your country
    • Date of birth
  5. Click Submit

You'll see your visa type, expiry, and work rights.

How to Check Canada Visa Application Status

You cannot check Canada visa status using just your passport number.

Instead, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the IRCC website
  2. Login using your GCKey or IRCC account
  3. Track status using your application number (starts with 'S' or 'V')
  4. If you applied offline, use the tracking ID from the VFS receipt

How to Check UK Visa Status Online

  1. Visit the UK Visas and Immigration page
  2. Sign in with your UKVI account (created during visa application)
  3. If you applied through TLScontact or VFS, you can track using:
    • Reference number (GWF number)
