TOEFL Exam Fee in India 2026

The following is the TOEFL exam fee in India for 2026:

  • TOEFL iBT (Internet-Based Test): INR 18,000 (approx. USD 215)
  • TOEFL Essentials: INR 17,200

TOEFL test-takers should be informed of the following additional fees:

  • Late Registration TOEFL Test Cost: An extra INR 3,900 (Base fee ₹3,305 + Tax). The TOEFL late registration fee will be charged if you register for the TOEFL exam four days prior to the test date.
  • Rescheduled TOEFL Exam Fee: INR 5,900 (Base fee ₹5,000 + Tax) will be the cost if you need to reschedule your TOEFL exam.
  • Reinstatement of Cancelled Scores: For a charge of INR 1,990 (Base fee ₹1,652 + Tax), you can request the reinstatement of your cancelled TOEFL scores.
  • Extra Score Reports: INR 1,950 - INR 2,000 will be charged for each extra score report that is forwarded to an organisation or agency.
  • Re-evaluation of Speaking and Writing Section results: The price is INR 7,900 (For reviewing one section: Speaking OR Writing) and INR 15,800 if you need the reassessment for both of your Speaking and Writing segment results.
  • Returned Payment Fee: You can be charged a rate of INR 2,900 in case your fee is returned for any reason.

TOEFL Exam Cancellation Charges

There is a list of procedures and fees related to rescheduling or cancelling the TOEFL exam. The TOEFL exam cancellation process and related charges are defined in detail below:

  • Policy for Cancellations: You may cancel your TOEFL examination registration up to 4 days prior to the planned test date. If cancellation is done within 4 days of the test date, it will not be refundable.
  • TOEFL Test Cancellation Cost: There is an INR 9,000 (50%) cancellation cost if you make a decision to cancel your registration for the TOEFL examination. This amount is subtracted from the amount you paid for the exam.
  • Refund Eligibility: If you cancel your TOEFL registration 4 days before the test, you may obtain a partial refund. You'll get the exam fees back minus the TOEFL cancellation fee.
  • To Request Cancellation: To cancel your TOEFL and get a refund, complete these steps:
    • Log In to Your ETS Account
    • Find Your Test Appointment
    • Cancel the Test
    • Confirm Changes
    • Pay the Cancellation Charge
    • Receive Confirmation

TOEFL Exam Rescheduling Charges

You can reschedule your TOEFL exam following the steps mentioned below:

  • Set the Rescheduling Deadline: TOEFL tests may be rescheduled four days prior to the original date of examination. Rescheduling is not allowed within the period of those 4 days.
  • Enter ETS Account Login: Enter your credentials on the ETS website. Once you login, click on "Register for a Test" from the menu.
  • Select the Exam to Postpone: Find the TOEFL test that you registered for and then take a look at and click "Reschedule".
  • New Test Date: Change your test date.
  • Pay the Rescheduling Charge: To finish the rescheduling process and submit the INR 5015 rescheduling charge, according to the on-screen instructions.
  • Get Confirmation: After rescheduling, ETS will email you your new test date.

TOEFL Exam Fee 2026: Payment Modes

The following is the 2026 TOEFL exam fee:

  • ₹18,000 for the TOEFL iBT (Internet-Based Test)
  • TOEFL Essentials costs ₹17,200.

Candidates can pay for the TOEFL exam in one of these ways:

  • Various credit cards like Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover
  • PayPal Electronic Check (E-Check)
